Dallas Police Department Youth Empowerment Expo​

For this event, the team partnered with the Dallas Police Department and Behind Every Door to bring STEM activities to the local underrepresented community. There were around 500 students at the event, and the team hosted a robot demo with fun rocket launching and LEGO car activities to keep the kids engaged and introduce them to STEM activities. ​
FTC Crash Course​
8/1/2024-8/4/2024​
At our annual FTC Crash Course, we taught a 4 day camp to upcoming students who wanted to get a first dive into FTC. During the course, the first 2 days have a focus on developing their CAD (Computer Aided Design) skills through CADding a REV mini bot and their very own key chain in Fusion 360. During the final 2 days, campers built their cadded REV Minibots and programmed both a tele-op and autonomous program for them. At the end of the Crash Course, campers worked together to compete​
Kids Fun Day with Dallas Police Department

For this event, the team partnered with the Dallas Police Department to extend FIRST and STEM outreach to under-served and under-represented communities. There were around one hundred students at the event, and the team not only showcased and let kids play with the robot, but held also many other STEM activities as well such as rubber-band cars and stomp rockets.
Robotics Explore Camp

The Robotics Explore camp was an exciting hands-on experience for young students where participants had the opportunity to build and program robots with LEGO and Scratch while also learning about the engineering process. They participated in fun challenges with the robot such as navigating with a tilt sensor as control, and gave presentations on their robots to their parents at the end of the day.​
SASA National Advocacy Conference
6/23/2024 - 6/25/2024 at Washington D.C. Capitol
For this conference, members of the team traveled to Washington D.C. to advocate for legislation supporting STEM education. During their visit, they met with representatives, senators, and their respective staff members to discuss the importance and impact of such legislation, and highlighted how it would help future generations in the USA.​
FIRST DIVE Season Team Fair

This was a recruitment fair where teams from all levels of FIRST robotics including FLL, FTC, and FRC gathered to recruit new members. We gave students from all over North Texas the opportunity to learn more about and engage with these prospective teams, providing a unique opportunity for recruitment and networking.​
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration

We did robot showcases and demonstrations at the AAPI Celebration in Dallas in further collaboration with the Dallas Police Department, interacting with many different members of the public who were also interested in joining or partnering with the organization, helping build out further opportunities for more initiatives in the wider community.​
FIRST Masterpiece Season Robot Showcase

The FIRST Masterpiece Season Robot Showcase was an end-of-season event that invited various teams from different levels of FIRST robotics (FLL-E, FLL-C, FTC) to present their innovative robot designs and projects to the public and demonstrate all their knowledge they had accumulated over the year. This allowed for students to able to show off their hard work, and for members of the general public to learn more about FIRST competitions and how they could get started as well.​
Pre-Eclipse Family STEAM Event​

Invited by the Dallas Police Department, the organization worked with the officers to present a diverse range of projects and robots to communities in Dallas during the Pre-Eclipse Family STEAM Event. Kids of all ages were able to experience driving the robot and get their first sense of what robotics was all about!​
FIRST Tech Challenge FLYSET League Meets
For 2 seasons, the FLYSET (F) League was held at QD Academy, bringing together teams from across the region to compete in FTC robotics challenges. The league meets provided a venue for teams to showcase their work, compete with others, and collaborate with gracious professionalism.​
