FLL-Explore Festival
3/14/2026
This year's FLL-Explore Festival allowed FLL-E teams from the North Texas region to compete and further develop their skills. They were able to explore many fun activities like hands-on FTC robot driving, FLL-Challenge demonstration, lego free-building, and arts and crafts. At the very end, everyone was able to enjoy the award ceremony celebrating everyone's accomplishments over the season.
FTC Crash Course
7/31/2025 - 8/3/2025
This year's FTC Crash Course brought together students for four days of hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun. The camp started with two days of online CAD training, where participants designed a REV Mini Bot and created custom keychains in Fusion 360. The final two days shifted to building and programming, as students built their bots and learned how to code both tele-op and autonomous modes. The event wrapped up with a competition, allowing campers to put together everything they learned and celebrate what they accomplished.
Irma Rangel Girl's Day
7/29/2025
We worked with about 80 girls, introducing them to robotics, FTC, and the engineering design process through creative hands-on activities. The students designed and tested their own mini wind-powered “Puff Mobiles,” learning how wind energy can drive different designs while getting a fun, approachable glimpse into STEM.
Back to School Fair
7/26/2025
At this event, we introduced many children and families, many with little to no prior exposure to STEM, to the world of robotics. Kids had the chance to drive our Ultimate Goal robot. The engagement we had was meaningful, and our team even made it onto TV. Parents and kids alike left with a better understanding of what we do and, hopefully, a new interest in exploring STEM and robotics in the future.
DPD Empowerment Expo
7/12/2025
Nearly 200 people attended the event, and our hands-on experience drew visitors to our booth and encouraged them to stay, explore, and ask questions. For many attendees, it was their first time seeing or interacting with robotics, making the experience especially exciting and memorable.
SASA
6/22/2025 - 6/24/2025
After attending the newcomer’s session on and participating in policy briefings, we met with Congresswoman Van Duyne, Congressman Gill, Congressman Self, Congresswoman Johnson, and Senator Cornyn. During these meetings, we advocated for reinstating the Student Success and Academic Achievement grants and supporting a new NDAA amendment that would redirect 0.25 percent of defense contracts toward STEM education.
AAPI Heritage Month Demo
5/10/2025
At the Dallas Police Department's community event, our team hosted a booth featuring our Ultimate Goal and Into the Deep robots, bringing in 50-70 visitors throughout the day. Kids had the chance to catch rings, explore robot mechanisms, and try driving FTC robots, while parents learned about the FIRST program and our summer camps.
Robotics Showcase
5/3/2025
Over the course of the 2024-25 season, many FLL & FTC teams worked hard to build their robot. These teams showcased what they have worked on and what they have learned over the season. Everyone who attended were able to see both the FLL innovation projects and try out the FTC robots.
FIRST Tech Challenge FLYSET League Meets
For 4 seasons, the FLYSET (F) League was held at QD Academy, bringing together teams from across the region to compete in FTC robotics challenges. The league meets provided a venue for teams to showcase their work, compete with others, and collaborate with gracious professionalism.
Monthly Mentoring Forum
2025-2026 Season
Over the course of the 2025-26 season, we held a mentoring forum every month of the season. We provide tailored advice based on the step of the season, whether that be individual mentoring for competitions or helping in the early stages of planning the season. So far, we have supported 47 FIRST teams with speakers from FIRST leadership, industry experts, and top teams.
