From humble beginnings in an after-school gym with only ~20 participants back in 2014 to hundreds of participants and presentations from teams/mentors worldwide, the FLYSET FTC Workshop has come a long way. That is why this year we are ecstatic to be able to host the 10th annual FLYSET FTC Workshop, marking a decade of helping both new and established teams around the globe get prepared for the season. With even more speakers, mini-workshops, and a diverse set of presentations in store, we welcome all to participate, learn, educate, and gain new perspectives about FIRST and the upcoming season!
Monthly from June 2024 until May 2025
After a hugely successful multi-year partnership with ACP to help build and mentor engaged, high-achieving teams in the FIRST program, FLYSET is excited to announce that we are expanding this mentoring program to all teams in the North Texas area! This newly restructured, greatly expanded program will allow any team in North Texas the ability to participate in monthly forums and gain mentorship from world-class teams while also exchanging ideas and helping mentor other teams along the way.
Summer 2024
FLYSET offers a wide variety of camps and learning sessions to help young people find a foothold into the world of robotics and the FIRST program. Our FLL Explore camp allows kids to get their first exposure to robotics through both building and programming while also introducing them to the FLL Explore program. Our FTC Crash Course camp gives students the resources and knowledge needed to jump into the FTC program, teaching them all the technical basics they need to know to immedietley join and contribute to a winning FTC team.
Summer 2024
As a constantly growing and ever-changing program, we are always on the lookout for passionate youth to join our award winning FTC team (8565 TechnicBots) to explore engineering through robotics, participate in exciting competitions, and have fun!
2024-2025 Season
The Orchid Giving Circle®, an Asian sisterhood that provides grants and promotes philanthropy within the North Texas Asian community is partnering with FLYSET to launch the 'Bring Asian Girls to FIRST' (BAG FIRST) initiative. This partnership aims to greatly increase the amount of scholarships and team grants given out, furthering support for Asian girls in STEM and FIRST programs.
Our FIRST alumni have all gone through many years of tribulations, hardships, successes and triumphs with the team and have many stories, experiences, and reflections to share about their journey through FIRST.
